If anyone still comes by to see if I've posted recently, I just wanted to let you know that I'm not dead. I do still plan to get back to posting someday. But, I almost was dead -- I had surgery in February 2012 and a stroke resulting from the surgery. I could very easily not have come back from that and I am still coming to terms with running headlong into my mortality. I know I have to write about it sometime, and many other things beside, but haven't really wanted to process the experience yet. Check back occasionally -- I promise to start again here sometime soon.
